Champion Canine Club (aka C3) is a dog registry focusing on quality over quantity and believes that health & temperament should be the most important aspects when it comes to breeding. We are passionate and motivated to educate dog breeders and owners around the world on thoroughly testing their breeding stock. In return, you get better quality pups.
C3 will host conformation and working shows throughout the USA. We have set the conformation Champion bar high and will also recognize working Champions as well. We want to build real relationships with our members and be a registry that you will be proud to be associated with.
C3 offers three levels of dog & kennel certifications based on criteria that meet our objectives. The owners and breeders that follow our vision will be recognized, acknowledged and appreciated. We are committed to making a positive difference in the dog world. It starts with a grand vision. With you, we can make this possible!
Meet Ramblin Bulldogges – our pack consists of my husband Dan, Megan (me), 13 or so Bulldogs, a 140# Bermese Mountain Dog mix, a 10# Boston Terrier, 2 cats and a micro-mini pig. We all live together and co-exist peacefully indoors under the same roof! Many of our dogs are not breeders at all. Some make their home at what we call “The Ramblin Ark Ranch” as spayed/neutered, forever pets. Some are retired breeders while others are rescues whose last chance is with us.
Dan and I have always been into animals and our breeding hobby began more than a decade ago with exotic color “morphs” in reptiles. Every job I have ever had has been with animals. I went to veterinary technology school with a particular interest in holistic canine nutrition. I worked in the veterinary field until becoming disabled in 2003 after a car accident.
Both Dan and I have worked many years as professional dog trainers and behavior specialists. I am a Certified Dog Trainer and we own and operate K9 Superstarz, our dog training business. After training my own dog to assist me after my injury, we started “The Helping Paws Project” where we train people’s own pets or grateful rescue dogs to be certified working service dogs for people with disabilities and most recently, soldiers returning home with traumatic brain injury and PTSD.
Our breeding hobby went from reptiles to dogs in 2001 when we began breeding our APBTs on a small scale. While our baby snakes were very rewarding, we found that we really loved our puppies. We gave them nothing, but the best of everything, starting with nutrition and finally placing them only in the best homes.
Living in Denver, we were met with extreme prejudice against any and all “Pit Bull types” and when the breed ban was passed, we had no choice but to find our beloved dogs a safe home outside of that city. While still in Denver, we became particularly interested in the Olde English Bulldogge. Oldes were the only bully breed (aside from the often health-issue plagued English Bulldog) not included in the ban.
As our pack of indoor Bulldogges began to grow, we left Denver in search or more room for our dogs. Dan & I packed up our menagerie of pets and moved to Idaho. Within just a few days, a faulty wood-stove caught our house on fire and we watched everything we owned burn before our eyes. were grateful that our lives and that of the animals were spared. The fire, although devastating, has become a blessing in that we now have settled in New Mexico with even more room for our beloved pets.
Ramblin Bulldogges does not produce many litters of puppies, instead only choosing to breed the most perfect pairs. Health is of utmost importance and our number one goal. An outstanding temperament runs a close second. With health and temperament a given, we like to work with lesser seen colors, particularly ticked coats. Most of our dogs display ticking ranging from just a few specks to a heavy roan pattern.
When we do produce a litter, much of our time is devoted to careful teaching and socialization. We utilize a variety of testing to determine each puppy’s personality traits and what type of drive each one displays. In doing so, we feel we are able to best match each puppy with the right adopter increasing the chances that none of our pups are ever faced with having to be re-homed due to it “not working out”. We work to educate our adopters in all aspects of owning and properly training their Bulldogge puppy and remain available for “technical support” forever.
In addition to our breeding project, we show our dogs when we have the opportunity. While we are still amateurs in the ring, Isis is a natural and is very close to her UCA championship. In January, we hosted the inaugural C3 conformation event here in New Mexico! Using my background of being a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) tester and reading how other recognized organizations do it, Dan & I developed the C3 Temperament & Socialization Test. We have no puppies available at this time but have some great breedings planned for this summer.
